Receipts were 1851 including 372 packer cows, bred cows and pairs and 1479 yearlings and calves. We had 191 consignors and 59 buyers. Packer cows were $2 to $4 lower. Packer bulls were $2 to $3 lower. The market on the bred cows and pairs were $50 to $100 lower due to the packer cow market being cheaper. Market on steers and heifers weighing under 500# were $5 to $8 lower. Steers & heifers weighing over 500# were steady on yearling steers and heifers with the bull yearlings being cheaper. The market was a little softer this week on all classes of cattle because it is October.
